Motorola is going to launch a new flagship with a 200MP camera, Snapdragon Gen 8. A leak has revealed the upcoming Motorola flagship model, codenamed “Frontier” allegedly already in the process of being developed. The leak comes following the announcement of the Edge X30 and seems to have some of the same specifications, and also sounds quite than the Edge X30 in some aspects. Beginning with the basics, the leak talks about an 6.67-inch curving FHD+ OLED display with 144Hz – similar to what is the Edge X30 has alongside a top-of-the-line Snapdragon 8 chipset.
But, it could not be the exact same as the current Qualcomm top of the line Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, however, it could be a similar device manufactured by TSMC’s 4-nm process, not Samsung’s. This isn’t the first time we’re being told about a possible move, which is reportedly prompted by issues with yield on Samsung’s side.

The source even mentions the SM8475 Model number of the new chip , and goes on to suggest that it’ll be referred to as”the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. But, we have yet to receive any official confirmation of a brand new chip. The time will tell. The Frontier will likely to be paired with the processor with 8GB RAM or 128GB of storage, or 12GB RAM with the storage capacity of 256GB.
It is believed that the Motorola Frontier is also said to make use of Samsung’s S5KHP1 sensor as the main camera, as well as 50MP Samsung S5KJN1SQ03 (JN1) ultrawide camera and a 12MP camera with a telephoto lens IMX663. It’s quite an impressive loadout.
On the front it appears that the Frontier could borrow the OmniVision 60MP OV60A sensor, which is used on the Edge X30 – yet another commonality. In addition, the charging speed might be in line for an upgrade as the Frontier is reported to be able to charge at 150W using its Type-C port, and 50W wirelessly.
